Control Rx Instructions

The prescription-strength fluoride you have been prescribed is intended to prevent tooth decay and should be used as directed.

Long-Term Use

Control Rx is meant for long-term use. When your supply runs out, you can obtain more from our office or with a prescription from your pharmacist.

Who Benefits Most?

  • Individuals with dry mouths or decreased saliva flow due to medical conditions or medications.
  • Patients with exposed roots due to gum recession, which are at high risk for decay.

Application Instructions

  • Thoroughly remove plaque from tooth surfaces before applying fluoride.
  • Dispense a thin line of fluoride gel across the toothbrush bristles.
  • Brush all teeth, paying close attention to the gum line.
  • Swish the fluoride between teeth, then spit out the excess.

Do Not Rinse Afterward

Allow the fluoride to remain on your teeth overnight to strengthen tooth structure.

Storage & Safety

Keep your Control Rx in a safe place, out of reach of children, just like any other prescription medication.
